Capturing the Ethridge family at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, Louisiana was a reminder of why extended family sessions are so meaningful. With four generations gathered together, this spring session was full of connection, laughter, and unforgettable moments. If you’re looking for a family photographer in Mandeville, Louisiana, I’d love to be your girl!

Rather than focusing on stiff posing, this session was all about interaction. By encouraging connection and movement, the Ethridge family was able to simply enjoy being together—resulting in images that feel authentic, warm, and full of life.
If you’ve been considering booking a session with your loved ones, let this be your sign! Time moves quickly, and photos like these become priceless with every passing year.
This extended family session with the Ethridge family took place during a beautiful spring evening at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, Louisiana. As a Mandeville Louisiana family photographer, sessions like these hold a special place in my heart—especially when multiple generations come together in one space.
With ages ranging from just 2 years old to 94, this session was a true celebration of legacy, love, and family history.
One of the most meaningful parts of this session was the presence of four generations, all gathered together and centered around the family’s matriarch. There was something incredibly powerful about witnessing the connection between each generation—from the youngest little ones full of energy to the quiet, steady presence of those who came before them.
Moments like these are rare, and they deserve to be documented with care and intention.

Instead of focusing on perfectly posed images, I guided the Ethridge family through a relaxed and interactive experience. The goal was simple: create space for genuine connection.
The little ones brought so much joy and laughter, often stealing the spotlight with their silly personalities and contagious smiles. These moments helped everyone relax, allowing real emotion and connection to shine through in every frame.
As the sun began to set, golden hour light filtered beautifully through the Spanish moss, creating a soft, dreamy backdrop that perfectly complemented the warmth of the family’s interactions.
Fontainebleau State Park is one of my favorite locations for this very reason—the natural beauty adds depth and texture without ever overpowering the people in front of the camera.

Sessions like this are more than just photos—they’re a way of preserving your family’s story.
Babies grow, children change, and time with older generations is something we can never take for granted. Taking the time to gather, to be present, and to document these connections is one of the most meaningful investments you can make.
If there’s one thing I hope this session conveys, it’s this: it is always worth it to carve out the time to capture your family as they are right now.

If you’ve been considering an extended family session, this is your sign to make it happen. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply want to preserve everyday connection, these sessions are designed to be relaxed, meaningful, and true to your family.
As a Mandeville Louisiana family photographer, I specialize in creating an experience that feels natural and enjoyable—so you can focus on what matters most: being together.
Let’s document your story. 💛
